DESCRIPTION
Shriram MAP Mono Ammonium Phosphate NPK 12:61:00 100% Water Soluble Fertilizer Details :
  • Mono Ammonium Phosphate MAP (12:61:00) is a widely used source of P and N. It is made of two constituents common in the fertilizer industry and has the highest P content of any common solid fertilizer.
  • It is useful for new root growth and faster vegetative growth. Also promotes proper growth of reproductive parts and fertilization.
Benefits:
  • Suitable for all crops.
  • Reduce flower drop, increase fruit set, increase yield and quality of the produce.
  • Nutrient uptake efficiency will be enhanced as losses due to leaching volatilization will be minimized.
  • Since N and P are specially structured and designed, they will yield excellent growth in all the stages of the crop, namely the seedling stage, vegetative stage, reproductive stage, and ripening stage.
  • Dosage & Recommendation For Fertigation: Grapes, Pomegranate, Banana, Cotton, Tomato, Onion, Sugarcane, Ginger, Turmeric, Watermelon, Floriculture, and Protected cultivation.
  • For Foliar application: All crops.
  • Dosage: 5 to 8 gm per liter of water.
FAQs for Shriram MAP Mono Ammonium Phosphate NPK 12:61:00 100% Water Soluble Fertilizer
1. What nutrients does MAP 12:61:00 provide, and how do they benefit crops?
Ans. MAP delivers 12% nitrogen (NH₄⁺) and 61% phosphorus pentoxide (P₂O₅)—highly soluble nutrients vital for early root development, strong vegetative growth, and healthy flowering stages.
2. When and how should farmers apply MAP?
Ans.
  • Apply during early vegetative or pre-flowering stages via soil drenching, drip fertigation, or foliar spray.
  • Typical dose: 1.5–2 g per liter, or 750 g/acre depending on crop needs and irrigation method.
3. Is foliar application safe, and what concentration is recommended?
Ans.
  • Yes—foliar spray is effective.
  • Use 0.5% concentration (≈5 g/L) on young leaves and 1% (up to 10 g/L) on mature, more tolerant crops.
4. Can Shriram MAP be used in drip irrigation systems?
Ans. Absolutely. MAP dissolves completely in water and is compatible with drip or sprinkler systems. Avoid mixing simultaneously with fertilizers containing calcium or magnesium—use separate tanks if needed.
5. What soil types benefit most from MAP application?
Ans. MAP is moderately acidic, making it especially beneficial in neutral to alkaline soils where it helps improve phosphorus availability and neutralizes alkalinity over time.
6. Are there any crop restrictions or safe practices?
Ans. Generally safe across most crops—vegetables, cereals, fruit crops, pulses, and tubers. Do a small-scale test spray before widespread foliar use to ensure plant tolerance. Avoid overuse to prevent soil nutrient imbalance.
7. What precautions help minimize environmental risks?
Ans.
  • Avoid over-application to prevent nutrient runoff into water bodies.
  • Keep the fertilizer dry and protected from moisture.
  • Use gloves and masks during mixing and application.
